Mock up Shoot

This is a mock up shot of the location we are filming in. We hae done this so that we can get a rough idea of what we want when filming and see what effects look best once filmed. We have learnt that the setting is good and that we need to make some group decisions on what effects work best. We have tryed out lots of different editing techniques to see what looks best for certain scenes. We have done this so that when we come to refilm the final product we know what techniques work well and which ones don't work. this will save time when coming to film the final draft.

Stalkers Bedroom

The stalkers bedroom only needs the chair and desk as the main focus will be on him cutting out pictures of the girl and sticking them on the wall. The wall is a bright white. This is good as the picturs will show up really well bringing focus to the pictures. Playing around with the effects in this scene could bring focusing on to certain pictures then taking off in to a short clip on the picture.

Two Possible Bedrooms for The Girl

These bedrooms are possible for the girls bedroom. They both look like a typical bedroom. To get the sterotype me might have to add more girl things also we can take things out what doesn't need to be used.

Celler Dark/Red Room

This celler will give us the perfect location where the polaroid pictures will be developed. The dark and mysterious look of the celler gives a real feel of a Drama/Thriller. Having this scenery with a instrulmental music would give a really good sense os pschological drama.

Location of The Girls House

This is the house of the girl being stalked. We have chosen to do the front of the house as it has the front door and also te bedrooms are at the front of the house. This house is actually Mikey's house. This is convenient for us as we will be able to film without any problems. the house is pritty remote therfore making it a really good location for a pschological drama.

Audience Profiling

Our target audience is between the ages of 12-25. The rating our film is going to get is a 12A this is because it has some scary images but nothing major. These categories are awarded where the material is suitable, in general, only for those aged 12 and over. Works classified at these categories may upset children under 12 or contain material which manyparents will find unsuitable
for them. The sort of Background people who will be watching this will be mostly Middle class this is because it will suit most people. The majority of the audience will be students/young adults. Hopefuly the opening of the film will attract both genders. I think it will attract mainly males as it is a psychological drama. The target audience are most likely to watch: Horror + Thriller Films, School Dramas/Dramas with killers/stalkers.There isn't likely to be meny things the tartget audience. The music we are going to use are a non copywrite music that has a high tension and slow pace which is performed by an insturment.There isn't any role models as such but there is that the teacher has a bad perspective in our opening sequence. The audience that watches our opening will be watching horror/thriller films, TV dramas. Reading scary books that would fit the horror/thriller genre.

Blog template Ideas

I decided to have a go at making my own polaroid picture to set as my blogger background. We are using a polaroid camera in our film. I thought having a picture of the Actors together or maybe a clip from the film on a polaroid print out. I think this idea would suit my blog and make it look more professional. I have yet to come up with a final design but this will be finished at a later date.

These are a very basic view of our story board, this is so that when we are filming and need to check quickly which scene is next then i will have a look at my thumbnails.

Storyboard

The story board is the story set out picture by picture with a little sentance of information to say what is happening in the scene. This is just a more detailed version of the thumbnails.

Actors

These are the actors we have chosen to do our acting for us. We have tought about who would suit the roles we needed them to play and then asked them if they were willing to act for us. We thought that Danny Jenno would suit the role of being the stalker as he looks older than he acutally is. This helps the film become more realistic. Also Danny is studying Media as an A level student so he would know what to do and help us to provide the best shots that we could.
We also decided that Lauren Findley would suit the role of the girl that is being stalked. This is because she has an inercent look. We also chose Lauren as she has destinctive hari colour which makes her very rememberable to the audience when being watched.




Danny Jenno will play the stalker, but we will never see his face in theb opening scene. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is 17. We wanted an adult to play this part because of it would suit the look more realistic. Danny suits the part as he looks old for his age.



Lauren Findley will play the girl that is getting stalked. She is 16, blonde hair, blue eyes. We decided to get her to play as this part because she fits what we had in mind and also we wanted someone pretty so that we understand why the pscho is stalking her.

From pitching out idea to the class these are the possible problems from the feedback they gave us-Hiding identity of psycho, Needs more of an enigma, Realism, Tough story line might be hard to make it look good, Getting an adult to play as the teacher, Can’t make it obvious who the stalker is, Sound effects, If it doesn’t creep me out then might lose interest.

The positive comments we received were- likes psycho stalker idea, seems well planned, good idea, liked the Polaroid idea, good original ideas, good research, suspense- the audience will want to find out who the stalker is, like the idea of flash and sound effects .

The advice and suggestions we received were - Need more than two suspects, show a scene of paranoia with girl (spinning ), get a good stalker to act as the teacher, plan the story line better, Use adults to act because it makes it more realistic, Use and older person for the teacher, experiment with the edit to see what effects you can use, and try and use different and unique sound effects in your film, Use unusual shots when editing, To keep the sense of it being psychological don’t fall into usual film conventions.

This clip from skins is how we want our film to come across.
The shots that are used throughout this clip are realistic and belivable.
The mise en scene is really good through this clip, when the girl is taking the pictures of the lad and making a colage of them all. The shot of the camera on the desk with the makeup makes the scene realistic and relevent to a girl the is stalking. This gives us the enigma code that she is stalker. The audience could be lead to think she is going to kill the lad. Also that she is taking notes on what he is doing. This gives an enigma code that she is a stalker that knows alot about the lad she stalking.

Film trailer Donnie Darko

This film is relevent to the film we are planning on making.

Donnie Darko (Jake Gyllenhaal), a mentally disturbed teenager, appears to suffer from a variety of mental illnesses. His parents and sisters are concerned about him. The film we are going to create for our practical is psychological drama.

jill johnson (Camilla belle) recives increasingly threatening calls from a brutal serial killer who she first assumes is a juvenile prankster.
For our film we are planning on creating the opening of a fil where a person has a illness where he see's these people who are trying to kill him. These people are invisable to everyone else. In our opening we will see the symtoms to this.
